Concept: to illustrate the anti-social behavior that people have while waiting for buses. They used headphones and sunglasses and emit I-want-to-be-left-alone vibe. The person on the very left looked confused about this. There are people around her but no one to talk to at the same time.
Inspiration: while waiting for the MUNI during rush hours, I realized although there was a lot of people, none talked to one another. They preferred to talk on the phone or playing with their iPad. As I got on the MUNI and got closer to my destination, there were fewer people. I noticed there were lots of people with sunglasses and headphones and this somehow reminds me of a psychology study that I read months ago about anti-social behavior on buses.
Composition: As the theme is isolation of a subject, I placed the isolated person a bit far from the others. However, I realized I had a lot of empty / negative space so I waited for the MUNI to come and filled the space. The MUNI works not only as a space filler but also to show the environment of where the photo was taken.
