It's a simple studio shot with Bob. He's a great model!
The catch lights on his eyes sparkle beautifully and enhanced the emotion.

Spring Comes Early
Spring restored color in the nature and this photo tries to mimic the returned of the colors.
A cup of tea with a cupcake on the side in the middle of spring afternoon is just perfect. I imagine a great spring to-do as a garden tea party with my girls.

Childhood Memory 2
Title: The music in us
Childhood is beautiful like music. For me, violin has one of the most beautiful sounds among all the musical instruments. While piano may be known as the king of all instruments, violin is the queen.
Violin produces a sweet, warm and gentle sound - tonality that is commonly used in lullabies that our parents used to sing to us. It is said that violin has a sound that resembles human's voice. Thus, it is highly emotive and sentimental. For these reasons, violin is a musical instrument that can depict our childhood memories well.
Inspiration: I used to take piano lessons when I was young but I was always attracted to violin. First, the shape is beautiful (yes, it's a childish reason). Second, it has a sound that can represent our emotion well. Maybe I'm biased but I think to be able to play well, one must put their emotion into it. The pressure on the strings should be just right without being too force or too soft. The space between your chin and neck is where the violin should be placed on and this space seems to be made just for your violin. The moment you first able to make a correct sound from your violin is a magical moment. Your body works together to produce that sound and the closeness of the violin to your ear makes the sound more prominent and distinguishable.
Childhood Memory
Winter: a tribute for Sandy Hook shooting victims
I've been glued to my laptop ever since the news broke. I waited, waited and waited for any latest story related to Sandy Hook and spent countless of hours thinking why? Why and why would someone choose harmless, blameless victims?
While some parents grieve for their children who died, the other survivors will have this forever engraved in their memories. I'm worried about the children especially. People have been worrying how they will cope with this horrendous tragedy when we as adults are also unable to grasp what was happening on that Friday morning. How can we expect them to understand?
Child psychiatrists say some will play with cops-robbers and re-enact the event in order to cope with the trauma. Some others will just keep silent and try to forget it. They may have different ways to deal with their painful memory but one thing that we can all be sure about is that they will live with a lasting scar in their hearts. While many of us are fortunate enough to never witness something that evil, we can feel their pain. Let no other kids ever have to experience something like this ever. Or anyone. No one deserves to experience this kind of tragedy.
The photo symbolizes the victims of Sandy Hook. It happened during winter when it's supposed to be beautiful and jolly. However, the 20 kids will not be able to see their 6th or 7th Christmas. The light from the oil lamp is put off and the cold winter for the parents and the world started. The fire that represents life is not there anymore. A small coloring pencil besides the lamp represents the 20 kids. This dark memory will stay for some of the survivors who:
had to run past a teacher who was killed,
had to hear the screaming and gun being fired,
had to deal with the loss of friends, siblings and teachers.
May the family be blessed with strengths and abundance of love during these tough times.

Stop Motion
Title: Good Morning!
Every morning, we wake up, trying to piece things together. From the state of dreams to the state of consciousness, things don't really make sense sometimes. We can't differentiate which one is real. Maybe our whole reality is just someone's dream and that somewhere, someone is living another life. We may be a piece of memory, a piece of this world and a piece of someone else.
The video is made of 200+ still photos combined.
The photo of the Golden Gate Bridge was taken during 6-10 in the morning when light changes very fast.
The soundtrack that is used is titled Five Years Like One Minute. Aleksey Chistilin composed the song.

Self-portrait
Untitled 5
This is a self-portrait intended to convey the feeling of sadness, lonely and longing. Soft back light helps to create a romantic feeling.
The picture is not in focus and it enhances the moodiness of the picture.

Portrait 3
Untitled 3
In this portrait, I'm trying to show the feminine side of my model by the use of fairy wings.
The story behind it:
When we were younger, some may have a fascination towards all things magical: fairies and unicorns to name a few of them.
The dress looks flowy and her hair falls loosely on her shoulder to give a soft and romantic feeling.
The shadow on the background indicates there are trees. Why trees or why shot it with her squatting on the grass? It has to do with how we imagine where fairies live. Faeries live in forest and gardens. They live inside flowers and hide between tree leaves and branches.
In this photo, the model hugs her knees as if she is inside a cocoon. Maybe the fairy just happened to be born that day or maybe she's afraid to fly away from her home. It shows innocent as if she's a child.
